Brownlee Reservoir 2017

We spent a week at my sisters' cabin on Brownlee Reservoir.  This is one of our very favorite places to go as a family. While it was a lot of work to get ready to go and get everything organized and packed and food prepped it was worth it once we got there. I am always so grumpy about getting everybody packed up and kind of dread vacations but every time we come here I immediately can feel myself just relax and smile. It truly is a magical place and my kids had the best time. Dave's cousin Tim and his son Harry met us there and we got to do a lot of fishing on Tim's boat which was perfect. We spent the week fishing, swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, laughing and having fun. I can't wait for next year!

Colt won for most fish caught and biggest fish caught this weekend. The kid can fish!
Found a rattlesnake outside our cabin one morning. This was after Dave had cut the head off but the kids loved playing with this dead snake. I didn't get a picture of Colbi but she had it wrapped around her neck and was flinging it around.

Dave and Tim. Cousins but more like brothers.

Colbi and Zak. Our friends the Stacy's stopped by at the end of their road trip and spent a day and night with us.
 Case and Kendall.
Shane fishing while Case paddles him around.
The boys headed out to fish.

Ending our last night with a campfire and smores.
Cleaning up and heading home.

Silverwood

Colt and Jax had earned free Silverwood passes for reading this past year at school.  We went up in the middle of the week and it was not too crowded. We got there at 11 and did the train ride then hit up the water park until 4:00 and then went over to the rides until it closed at 9.  It was a long day but the kids had fun.
One day at Silverwood and camping for one night and our car was packed!

Waiting for the bumper boats.

4th of July

Dave had to work on the 4th this year so the kids and I headed over to Kennewick for a little BBQ and swim time with the Pemberton side.
Started the morning off slowly with some cuddling on the couch.
Case and Colbi had swim lessons at 10:00 so we did that first then headed over to Kennewick.

The Sabin's were out of town but let us use their pool.  My kids swam for 5 hours. I finally dragged them out of the pool and we took Dave and his crew blizzards at the station then headed home.
We sat out in our front yard and watched the fireworks and did some fire crackers of our own. Colt pretty much did all the work and I sat on a blanket with Colbi and watched. The firework show around our house was pretty amazing. We went to bed late but the kids had so much fun. It was a perfect holiday.
