Jax: Disneyland April 2015

Poppee and Memah took Jax and his cousin Calvin to Disneyland for their birthday's this year.  Jax has been talking about Disneyland pretty much since Colt got back from Disney 3 years ago and he was so excited that it was finally his turn.
Finally the day is here!! We had a countdown chart the last couple weeks and he had fun  marking off the days.
Early flight out of Pasco!
Then they ended up getting delayed and missing their connection once they got to Seattle.
 Eating in the airport.
They both ended up falling asleep on the flight into California.
But finally they made it and had the BEST time (even if this picture says differently).

Goofy!
Such fun grandparents!

Home!! Jax said his favorite ride was the Haunted Mansion.

Easter at Brownlee

The start of our spring break also happened to fall on Easter Sunday and Dave's 35th birthday! Dave always wants to go to the cabin each year for his birthday to fish so we packed up on Friday and headed to Brownlee. As always, we had a great time. Lots of fun fishing, playing with sticks, hide and seek, hiking the chuckar hills and board/card games. Dave's cousin Tim and his family came for a couple days and left on Sunday afternoon and we stayed and came back Monday.

Easter morning it was raining but that did not stop the kids from having an egg hunt.
Colbi was pretty happy that jelly beans were in her eggs. She kept sneaking candy out of everyone else's buckets.

Later Sunday we took the boat out, Colt practiced driving.

Colbi touching her first live fish. She did not even hesitate.

It was a perfect way to kick off our spring break and be together.

Sam: April 2003- April 2015

We lost our sweet visla Sam today. He would have been 12 at the end of the month. It was a hard day. Sam was Dave and I's first dog and we had a lot of fun memories of him in our early years of marriage. He was wonderful with the kids and such a nice, kind dog who loved to run and loved attention.  Colt had the hardest time of all the kids. We have had to help him through it a lot. We decided we would bury him at our property so we hiked back there and my dad came to help us dig a hole.

Colt made this cross for him. It said "Sam, best hunting dog ever".

Lakota misses Sam so much, it is so sad to see her in the kennel so lonely and not herself. She just mopes around looking for him. Lakota has never known life without Sam in it.
