Colbi's 1st volleyball camp

After waiting almost 6 years and watching her brothers play all the sports it was finally her turn. She was so so so excited about this volleyball camp and I almost didn't send her to it but then DiDi came through and offered to pay for the camp for her birthday present.  I am so glad she got to go because she LOVED it! I think it helped that her best friend Lennon was there too.   She had a great time and learned so much and then she came home and taught all of us including her brothers everything. I am so impressed how well she listened, she remembered everything! I think she is really ready for kinder this year.

Lennon, Colbi and Hayden.  Future members of Blue Devil volleyball!

Pemberton family wedding - Mt. Hood Oregon

We took a quick trip to Mt. Hood for a family wedding and all the Pemberton family was their. It was a beautiful setting for a wedding and a great day to spend time outside and catching up with family. The cousins all had a great time running everywhere and playing.  It is always good to be with family.

16 years!

We celebrated 16 years of marriage today. Though we look like we got all dressed up this picture is from a wedding a couple days later. On our actual anniversary Dave had an ER shift all day and by the time he got home we ended up going out for a hike/run and then ending the night with drinks downtown (sweaty and smelly but it was still really fun). Anyone who has been married for any length of time knows that it is never easy and always work but it is also fun and exciting too. We have been in what feels like a hard season for quite a few years now but I know that the love we have for each other and the hard work we are putting in will be worth it.

What we looked like on our actual anniversary.

Morning Bike Ride

We woke up this morning to cool weather and I told the kids we were going to load up the bikes and go down to the reservoir to ride while I ran. This was the first time we had done this and it ended up being so much fun.
Colbi had a hard time in the beginning because the trail was rocky and there was a lot of hills but she worked really hard to make it up the hills and not give up. By the time we got to the pavement and downhill she was so happy.  By the end I couldn't even keep up with the kids running but it worked out fine because Colt kept everyone in line.
After a fun morning of exercise we went downtown to the Coffee Perk and had coffee/drinks and played board games.  Such a fun summer morning and makes me realize how lucky I am to have a job where I can enjoy summers with my kids and not stress about work or what they are doing all day.

Tamarack Idaho

My mom, the kids and I spent a long weekend in Tamarack at Chris and Marni's cabin and enjoyed every minute. Marni and Chris (and Beckham) met us on Friday but we arrived Thursday evening. We swam, kayaked, paddle boarded, went out on the boat for some tubing, ziplined and ate yummy food. It was a perfect mix of fun and relaxation.
We started off the trip with a flat tire in Clarkston and had to make a quick stop at Les Schwab to get it fixed.
We got back on the road and made it to Riggins before an ice cream stop was needed.
We got to their place, unpacked and his the pool.
This place is beautiful!

The next morning after swimming we headed down to the lake for some kayaking and paddleboarding.

Marni and Beckham arrived and the kids were in love!
On Saturday morning, Marni, Colt, Jax and I headed to the top of the mountain for some ziplining. We took the ski lift to the top of the mountain.
There were 8 different ziplines that slowly took us down the mountain with some hiking that occurred in between each one. Marni and I were both a little nervous but it ended up being so much fun that the nerves dissapeared quickly and it was just fun.
The boys were awesome and loved it.
My very favorite person in the world!

 Beckham and Aunt Care!
Saturday afternoon Chris took us out on the boat and we got to do some tubing.  The kids loved it.
 The girls.

Sunday morning before we left Marni took Case and Colbi up the mountain on the ski lift.
Cousins!
This was probably one of my very favorite vacations ever. We already have plans to come back next year and this time we are bringing Papa and Dave too!
