Halloween

We had a fun Halloween this year, I love it when Halloween falls on a Friday or the weekend. The kids were all very excited to dress up and go trick or treating. We started by going to Colt's school to watch their Halloween book parade. Colt's class all dressed up as dragons which they had made themselves. Jax and Case wanted to dress up as well so they wore their ninja turtle costumes and I put Colbi in her cat costume to watch the parade. After the parade we went over to DiDi's school for a bit then came home for Jack-o-lantern pizzas and witches brew (punch) with Papa and DiDi. We headed out around 6 for trick-or-treating with our friends the Hutchison's. The kids had so much fun and were so good together. We have 8 kids between the 2 families and we brought an extra kid since Colt's friend Parker joined us as well. The weather was perfect and the kids had fun. Holidays just keep getting better around here!

Klicker's Pumpkin Patch

I took the kids to Klicker's this morning, I did not have to teach today since it was conference week so we spent the morning getting flu vaccines and going to a follow-up for Jax's broken arm. I promised the kids some fun if they were good at the doctor offices and they were awesome. So we headed to Klickers to pick out pumpkins, play on the hay bales, and eat ice cream cones. It was a perfect fall day and we had fun. I love these moments with my kids, nothing else I would rather be doing. Some of the best times with them are things we do just me and them. They are such good kids and make me so happy.

While we were away....

 .....someone broke an arm!
The day we left for Mexico Jax was crawling down from the trampoline, lost his balance and fell hard on his arm. Memah stayed with them by herself the entire time we were gone and she had her work cut out for her. She spent a lot of time dragging all 4 kids to different doctors to get Jax's arm x-rayed, then a sling put on and finally a cast. He broke his ulna on his left arm but he seems to be doing great!
Memah and Colbi waiting in another doctor's office.
Jax's final cast. He chose red for Spiderman.
Colt also had 2 soccer games and 1 soccer practice while we were gone, so once again when Memah was not in a doctor office she was taking all 4 kids to the soccer fields.

These kids had the best time with Memah and are still talking about the fun things they would do with her. My favorite was when I was making popcorn for them the other night and they told me that when Memah makes them popcorn she puts "special treats" in their popcorn like m&m's and candy corn. I have the absolute best mother-in-law, she treats me like one of her own daughters and loves my kids like her own.

Mexico : Marni's Wedding

We left the kids with Dave's mom and headed to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for 5 days to celebrate Marni and Chris's wedding. We spent the entire first day flying and missing the kids (at least that is how I felt, I can't speak for Dave).
View from our hotel room. We stayed at the Dreams Villamagna Resort in Nuevo Vallarta.
Getting ready for the pool, Dave is not a fan of selfies.

Rehearsal dinner. My dad with all his girls.

The view from Marni's wedding sight. Gorgeous!

Congrats Marni and Chris!
