Jax's 4th Birthday

Happy 4th Birthday Jax David!
We love celebrating birthday's around here and today it was finally Jax's turn. He has been talking about his birthday since we had Case's birthday last week and all the different ninja turtle stuff he wanted for his birthday. He woke up to lots of fun presents from his brothers and us and asked for banana muffins with white chocolate chips for breakfast. (He also got a special trip to the doughnut shop later on that morning).
We had his party the next day and he had some friends come as well as lots of family.

The pinata was a huge hit with all the kids and they all loved taking turns hitting it and then attacking the candy.
He asked for an oreo cake for his birthday so I found one online and made it, it was a good one and definitely a cake I will make again.
Jax is a quiet kid who is very shy at first but has a sense of humor that only those that really know him get to see. He is sweet and loving and sensitive with a huge heart and a smile that makes me smile. He loves super heros and ninja turtles and can usually be found at all times with some sort of action figure in his hand and wearing a superhero shirt. He loves to go to bed late and sleep in (so far he is our only kid that sleeps past 7-sometimes even 8), he is a night owl and loves to come into our room long after we put him to bed and snuggle and wrestle with dad before we finally make him go back to bed. He loves reading books and has even started reading some of his books to Case. He is very excited about the new baby, he often asks me how much longer until the baby will be here and says that if it is a boy it should be named Tiger and a girl it should be named April (because April is the only girl on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). We are working on his letters and numbers but having an older brother is motivating him to get a little more interested in it. He can write his name and recognize a few letters and is getting better with his counting. Since his birthday is late May we will not send him to kindergarten until he is 6 so he will be at home with me for another year before going to preschool in the fall of 2014-15.

Catch up pictures

Colt did a 5 week soccer camp at the community college this spring. He loved it and had a great time.
Case can usually be found outside playing on one of the 4 riding cars/bikes/scooters we have. People comment often on how dark he is, his skin is very dark and since he spends most his days outside it just keeps getting darker.
My boys enjoying some saturday morning snuggles.
Playing on the playyard. The weather has been amazing so far this spring. Sunny and lots of 70 degree temps.
Case enjoying a run with me in Colt's cowboy boots and then riding his plasma car.
Dave took Colt and Jax to Brownlee for a weekend and Colt caught this huge 40 lb carp!
Dave did the Onionman Triathlon here in Walla Walla. We had fun one Sunday cheering him on.
Case enjoying his first Dutch Bros. smoothie.
Colt finish preschool! He had such a great year and his teachers all had really nice things to say about him. He is so excited for kindergarten next year at Davis Elementary.

28 weeks - 3rd trimester

12 weeks (give or take a week or 2) left and I am getting very excited but really trying to just enjoy being pregnant for the last time. The nausea has returned in the evenings and there is very little food that actually sounds good.  Baby is head down and I passed my glucose test. Praying that all stays "boring" throughout these last few weeks and baby continues to grow and is healthy

Happy 2nd Birthday Case

Case turns 2 today and he was thrilled that it was his big day. The boys made such a big deal out of his birthday that he really got it and knew that today was all about him!
I kept it very simple for him, the boys got him a small present and Dave and I got him some rubber balloons and a pail/shovel. He loved opening up the presents and playing with his new toys.
Aunt Marni sent him a singing card with candy in it that he carried around with him for the next 2 weeks and listened to it play until it finally died. Pretty sure that was his favorite gift of all!

We had banana chocolate chip muffins for breakfast and he got to blow out 2 candles on his muffin. He loved blowing it out and thought it was so fun to be the big kid. Colt and Jax also LOVED that it was his birthday and all day long would bust out singing Happy Birthday to him. By the end of the day Case knew every word and could sing along to the song as well.
After I got home from work I found them playing outside in the mud with Case's new pail and shovel. They were all filthy but I let them do it anyway because Case loved it!

We celebrated later that evening with pizza and chocolate cake (but I can't find the pictures anywhere on my camera!). It was such a fun day celebrating this little guy. He is as busy as can be and I have never had a 2 year old quite like him. He goes non-stop from the minute he wakes up (which is usually fairly early) and doesn't stop until he is put to bed at night. He is still in a crib but we will be moving him over the summer to a bed in the same room as his brothers (that could be very interesting). He can talk in full sentences and has the funniest sense of humor, he LOVES both his brothers but also LOVES to tease them and take things and run with them. He is FAST, really fast, and uses it to his advantage all the time. He has started peeing on the toilet but I have not started any type of potty training yet, he basically just tells me he wants to go pee on the potty and I take him.  He loves to play ninja turtles with his brothers, read books, take showers, swim and ride bikes. In fact he would probably swim and ride bikes all day long if that was an option. The minute he wakes up he runs to  the door asking to go outside. He is a good eater, does not complain about much of anything we feed him and will eat most things or at least try everything. We love him a bunch and can not imagine what life was like without him in it (though I know it was a lot quieter on long car trips....the kid never stops talking!).

Amy's baby shower

My mom, Case and I drove to Boise this weekend for my sister Amy's baby shower. Amy is due in July with baby #4 (and it's a girl, which will make 4 girls for her!!)
My little sister Marni, Case and I.
Love this girl so much! We had a blast this weekend and I wish we had more weekends together like this one. We did a bootcamp, went to coffee, got pedicures, went on a run, did a weights circuit in her basement, talked, laughed, played with Case and ate yummy food. It was the best weekend! My mom was awesome in jumping in and helping with Case so Marni and I could have some fun together. Can't wait to do this again soon!

25 weeks

Ending the second trimester, feeling good and nausea is finally completely gone. Lots of braxton hicks but  I am used to those after Case anyway. My guess is a boy.....Dave is going with girl. 15 more weeks!
