First Day of School

First day of school pic. Case wanted to be in the picture too even though he is home with me this year.
Tough guys.
Walking into Davis Elementary.
Colt is in 2nd grade and has Miss.Thonney for a teacher this year. It sounds like his year is off to a great start. He is good at math and spelling but struggles a little with reading. He is playing soccer again this year and enjoys the games.

Colt and Hannah.
Jax started kindergarten and has Mrs. Randow for a teacher. He is still a little unsure about this whole school thing. He likes to be home playing with his brothers but he is slowly warming up to it.

He is also playing soccer for the first time this year. Lots of changes for him but he is working hard and we have lots of talks about choosing a good attitude and trying new things. Love this little dude!

Colbi Lyn turns 2!

Happy Birthday Colbi Lyn!
Waffles for her birthday breakfast.
So happy to be 2. She sang "Happy Birthday" to herself all day long.
DiDi brought over cupcakes for her birthday.
2 years has flown by and it is hard to believe my babies are no longer babies. We are moving into a new stage now that no more babies will be joining our family which makes Colbi's birthdays even more bittersweet. Colbi is feisty, funny and keeps us on our toes. She is rarely far from me and my alone time is limited but most days I would not want it any other way. She wants to do everything her brothers are doing and has a voice that lets us know exactly where she is at all times. She loves books, puzzles, "umpy" (jumping on the trampoline), helping me in the kitchen and my hair (she plays with it nonstop and has since she was a tiny baby). She is starting to talk in sentences and most the time I understand her (though I can't say the same for everyone else). Overall she is one fun little girl and completes our family! We love you Colbi Lyn!

Mumford and Sons in Walla Walla

This weekend our small town of Walla Walla held a music festival and it was so fun getting to be a part of it. Mumford and Sons and Foo Fighters were the headliners but lots of other bands showed up to play and it was a great weekend to be with family and friends and just enjoy life. Dave's mom offered to take the kids for the weekend which was wonderful. Our friends Shane and Courtney came from Lynden and Taylor came too. Marni and Chris and my mom and dad came too and lots of fun was had. I laughed a lot, stayed up way too late, did so much walking and loved every second of it.
Enjoying some sushi, a few drinks and good times with friends.

Court and I! Friends since my sophomore year in college. It was so much fun to spend a weekend together without kids.
 My fun, awesome family!

These two were quite the party animals!
We celebrated 12 years of marriage on August 2nd so this weekend was our celebration.

Little sissy and big brother in law.

Meanwhile our kids were being well taken care of by Memah and Co.

Trip to the trampoline park with cousins.

Cousins birthday celebration : Evie, Colbi & Nora

We went over to Kennewick to celebrate Colbi and her cousin's birthdays today. We had a pool party at Kenzie and Andy's and as usual it was fun and the kids had a blast!
Memah got the girls birthday outfits. Colbi's birthday is not till August 25th but she had such a great celebration her actual birthday is going to be very small and quiet.
Katie made a cake for each girl.

We had pizza, watermelon and salad and did a lot of swimming. The kids were tired by the time we left and they all fell asleep on the car ride home.

Such a fun party. Thanks Katie for doing all the work. I'll gladly let Colbi crash your party any year.:)
