Colbi Lyn : 11 months

The little Miss is growing much too fast and will be 1 before we know it! At exactly 11 months she started crawling, I knew it was coming and yes she is a little behind mobility wise (she makes up for it in her verbal skills though) but it was still a little sad to see it happen. She is on the move now and into everything. A few days after she started crawling she started pulling herself up and then she discovered the stairs in our house. I guess I finally better do a little baby proofing around here!

First time pulling herself up to standing!
She is such a sweetheart and snuggle bug. I love her!!

Summer Days

Summer is here and so are the triple digit temps. We have spent our days while dad works trying to stay cool and have fun! My parents creek is a favorite place to cool off.

Colt did basketball camp at the YMCA and the boys loved to go and play after he finished.
Blueberry picking, the boys and Colbi ate more than they picked. We need to go back and do this again. They taste so good!

Colt got a tent for his birthday so we had a backyard campout. Dave and I slept on the trampoline and the boys in the tent. Case woke up halfway through the night crying so him and I ended up in our bed for the remainder of the night. This is definitely something we will do again this summer, so simple but the boys love it!
Our garden is growing, the boys love to run out and bring me in the newest veggies that are ripe. We have tons of zucchini (zucchini bread is a favorite around here), jalapenos, peppers, peas and tomatoes.
A pool day is a must to cool off, we spent a day at the Milton Freewater pool and will be doing more of this throughout the summer.
Papa and DiDi's house is much cooler since they live closer to the mountains. The boys always end up eating popsicles (Papa always makes sure he has treats for the boys when they come over) and running through the sprinkler.
We are trying to slow down and enjoy the slower days of summer before we have to go back to a schedule in the fall. The boys are all doing a reading program at our library and have had fun picking out new library books to read during library story time every Thursday. They have spent lots of time on the trampoline with the sprinkler under it and we have made a few trips for ice cream and sno-cones already. Its been a pretty great summer so far!

Jubilee Lake

We escaped the heat and decided to spend the day in the mountains at Jubilee Lake. The weather was perfect and the water felt incredible. We took our drift boat which was perfect for fishing in the lake and the kids had lots of luck catching trout.

Colbi LOVED it, she was happy all day long. She had napped on the hour drive to the lake and was awake the entire day.  She loved being in the water and splashing around.
My boys headed out to catch some fish.

Pretty sure the little Miss ate rocks and drank lots of lake water. She was happy though!

Colt has become quite the fisherman. He can do pretty much everything himself and loves to have competitions with Dave to see who can catch the most fish. When he is doing stuff like this he really reminds me of Dave. I see so much of Dave's personality in him as he gets older.
Me and my baby girl.
Today was perfect, getting away and spending time with just the 6 of us is something we need to do more often.

4th of July

We spent the 4th of July holiday at Brownlee Reservoir at my sister Amy's cabin. We left late Thursday afternoon and stayed through Sunday. We met my parents, my little sister Marni and her fiancée Chris and my sister Amy and brother-in-law Andy along with all their girls down there. We had lots of fun fishing, boating, water skiing, swimming and eating really good food. It was a lot of fun with very little sleep (Colbi slept terrible) but as always was well worth it. We always have a great time there and can not wait to go back again soon!
So excited to be leaving town and heading to our favorite place on earth....Brownlee Reservoir!
My niece Maggie turned 1 on the 4th so we got to have a fun little birthday part for her too. Case of course could not keep his hands off of her.
A little piece of heaven on Earth.

Elena taking care of the kids in the baby cage. Perfect place for babies (or 3 year olds) to play safely.

Catching lots of fish!

Happy 1st Birthday Maggie!!!
Cousins! Madelyn (17), Elena (15), Lucy (11), Colt (7), Jax (5), Case (3) and Maggie (1). Colbi was screaming in her crib somewhere.

Case caught his first fish. The kid talks about fishing non-stop.

Mads caught a huge catfish and looked good doing it in her cute dress!
Already looking forward to next year, time at the cabin never disappoints.
